A #MSwarriors Christmas Wish List

Shout-out to "The Man"!! Affiliate links may be present in this post. It costs you nothing to click them. If you make a purchase, I will make a small commission which enables me to buy things like koolaid and cheetos. Thanks for supporting my small business.

My Christmas wish list is kind of different. Where I once wanted things like shoes, makeup, clothes, vacations, jewelry, etc ...
My wants have changed.

My "wants" now resemble "needs".

When your body betrays you and becomes a shell that you no longer know, life is no longer easy.

Walking becomes a challenge, in the blink of an eye.
One day I was walking into the living room and my left leg decides it's going to play dead! I fell. I couldn't get back up. My left leg betrayed me. I had to crawl to my sofa, using only one leg, and pull myself up into a sitting position.

Then I sat there and cried.

I'm not a person who cries about little stuff, so naturally I blame one of the new meds I'm taking.

Then I ordered myself a cane on Amazon.

This is the very same one I ordered. The cane helps me walk. Even when walking hurts. It's color is Camouflage greens and black, lol.

It's really the only thing I've gotten for myself, since being diagnosed.

I feel guilty buying anything, knowing that Christmas is coming and I have so many gifts to buy for the kids. I'm trying to prioritize! It's not easy when my neurologist prescribed 7 new medications that we have to pay out of pocket for!!

So I decided to reach out to some companies to see if they would let me write a review of their products, that would be beneficial to this 46 year old #MSwarrior. All they can do is say No, right?!

Need a visual of some things I'm wishing for?

1.  A portable Washing Machine

My Washer and Dryer are located in our basement. The last time I went down there, I prayed "God, Please Don't Let Me Fall!" In a chant like mantra. It was scary!! My legs were working fine then but I had a case of Vertigo, which made me dizzy to the point that I thought I was going to pass out. Not Fun!

2.  A Grabber.

Stretching my calf muscles to reach something high up, is no longer doable. This can cause my calf muscles to spasm and it's a pain I cannot begin to describe.

3. Bedside Gripper

Being able to sit up in bed has become a nightmare. I wake up dizzy. I think having something to stabilize me would help.

Honestly, I can think of a hundred things to put on this list but thought I would post my top 3, just to give you an idea.

Life sure has changed for me but I'm not a quitter!! I WILL learn to adjust to my new reality. I've just got to get over a few hurdles but I've Got This!!

💋
